เดธเดฎเดฐเดธ
The first day of the LOKAHI Community Living Camp began on 21 October 2025 at Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakkara, marking the vibrant start of a five-day journey of learning, unity, and togetherness. The day opened with registration at 8:30 a.m., followed by an energetic flash mob performance that set a lively and enthusiastic tone for the camp. I was delighted to be part of this performance, which brought excitement and joy to both participants and the audience alike.
The flag hoisting ceremony, conducted by Principal Riju John sir, officially marked the commencement of the camp.
The inaugural ceremony, presided over by the Principal, was officially inaugurated by renowned poet and writer Sri. Kuripuzha Sreekumar, whose inspiring words filled the audience with motivation and purpose. The gathering was further graced by heartfelt messages from Very Rev. Zacharia Ramban, Rev. Fr. Simon Lukose, Mrs. Jaisy John, Rev. Fr. Thomson Grace, Mrs. Sheeja Chacko, and Dr. Biju G, all emphasizing the spirit of harmony, compassion, and community life.
During the forenoon session, Dr. Noufal N, Assistant Professor at Sree Narayana Guru Open University, delivered a powerful theme presentation on “Harmony with the Future.” His talk highlighted the importance of embracing individuality as the pathway to true unity. The session was followed by vibrant cultural performances by student groups, adding colour and enthusiasm to the morning.
After lunch, Mr. Renjith T, HR Trainer, led an inspiring motivational session titled “Direction to Dreams.” Through interactive activities and engaging discussions, he encouraged student teachers to recognize their potential and move confidently toward their goals.
The day concluded with a highly entertaining and reflective session titled “Chiriyum Chinthayum” by mimicry artist Mr. Vineeth Elamadu, who combined humour with thought-provoking insights. I also took part in this session, joining my peers in a creative spot fashion show using newspapers, which turned out to be an exciting and memorable experience.
Thus, Day 1 of LOKAHI Camp 2025 came to a joyful close by 5:00 p.m., leaving everyone inspired, connected, and eager for the days ahead.
