The second day of the LOKAHI Community Living Camp, held on 22 October 2025, began at 9:00 a.m. with the morning assembly. The session was anchored by Ganga and Anu G. Saji, and the prayer song was beautifully sung by Megha, Vaishnavi, and Rajalakshmi. The thought for the day was presented by Varsha, while Sheba and Alfiya delivered the day’s news update. I had the opportunity to introduce and explain the theme of the day, “Harmony in Diversity.”

By 10:00 a.m., the session “Swaralaya” commenced, focusing on the relevance and importance of musical intelligence in teacher education. The distinguished speakers — Dr. Manakkala Gopalakrishnan (former Research Officer, SCERT, Kerala), violinist Mavelikkara Vijayakrishnan, and mridangam artist Srirangam Krishnakumar — enriched the session with their musical brilliance and insights. Shehina, Anagha, and Akshara conveyed their felicitations, and Rose proposed the formal vote of thanks.

After the refreshment break, at 11:45 a.m., a session titled “Agniratham” was conducted by Mr. Aneesh from the Kottarakkara Fire and Rescue Station. His class on “On the Path of Safety” was highly informative, offering practical awareness on fire safety and emergency response. Jeeja expressed gratitude at the end of the session.

Following lunch, various cultural programmes were staged by student groups, adding colour and energy to the afternoon. Our group also perfomed a dance.

At 2:45 p.m., Mr. Ayyappadas, a journalist from Malayala Manorama, led an interactive session titled “Media Resonance” (Madhyamaspandhanam), coordinated by Mrs. Neethu S. Raj from the Malayalam Department. I got an opportunity to interact with him. I asked a question to him.The session was both enlightening and engaging, helping us understand the influence of media in modern society. Sheba Susan Philip offered the vote of thanks.

At 5:30 p.m., the Rangotsavam segment began with a performance by the Rangaprabhat, Alanthara, Vembayam troupe, who staged the thought-provoking play “ALPHII (12) MISSING.” The drama captivated the audience with its meaningful message, and Shalini expressed gratitude on behalf of all.

The day ended on a high note at 7:30 p.m. with a spectacular musical evening by Beats Audios, filling the campus with rhythm and joy.

As part of the community living experience, we stayed overnight at the college, which added a deeper sense of togetherness and cooperation among all participants.
Sharing duties, laughter, and reflections strengthened our bond as a team and truly embodied the essence of LOKAHI — Harmony in Diversity.

In diversity there is beauty, and there is strength.” - Maya Angelou
