Criticism Class Day 2: A Step Forward in Teaching and Learning

Day 2 of our Criticism Class was an engaging experience, as I, along with four other classmates, had the opportunity to take the class. I chose the topic "Reaping Diversity: Apiculture, Floriculture, and Pisciculture" and presented it to students from the Malayalam department, who acted as my audience. While I managed to cover the key points, I struggled with time management, realizing the need to improve in this area for future sessions. My teacher and peers provided both positive feedback and constructive criticism, helping me identify areas for growth. After lunch, I switched roles and acted as a student in the Physical Science department, gaining fresh insights from the learner’s perspective.

Reflecting on today’s experiences, I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from both the presenter’s and learner’s viewpoints. It’s clear that growth comes from embracing challenges, learning from feedback, and being open to new perspectives.

Criticism Class – Phase 1 Kicks Off with Activity-Oriented Lesson Plan

Today marked the first day of our Criticism Class – Phase 1, an activity-oriented lesson plan designed to engage students in dynamic teaching and learning experiences. Half of our class, including myself, was selected to participate in this phase. While I did not take the class today, two of our classmates, Anandhu and Ajini, had the opportunity to lead. The rest of us observed their teaching sessions, offering feedback and constructive comments. Meanwhile, I acted as a student in other departments, such as Physical Science and English, to experience the learning process from a different perspective.

It was an insightful day, offering both the opportunity to critique and learn.
