Witnessing the Power of Care: A Visit to Ashraya
On 18th November 2024, we had the privilege of visiting Ashraya, a remarkable refuge in Kerala that provides food, shelter, medical aid, and rehabilitation to the needy, including orphans, the homeless, and the elderly. I spent the day at Sanketham in Kalayapuram, Kottarakara, where hundreds of residents are cared for by a dedicated team led by Kalayapuram Jose Sir.
During our visit, we conducted programs with songs and dance, bringing joy to the residents.
From morning to evening, we had the chance to connect with the residents, hear their stories, and witness the immense compassion and care that Ashraya offers to those in need.
We also had the privilege of meeting Jose sir and his wife, whose unwavering dedication and kindness were truly inspiring. They shared their journey with Ashraya and gave us a glimpse into the profound impact of their work. Their passion for serving others and their commitment to the well-being of the residents left a lasting impression on me, making the day even more meaningful.
