Weekly Reflection
Week 3 (17 November – 21 November 2025)
Day 1 – Tuesday (17/11/2025)
The third week of teaching practice began with a special morning assembly, which lasted nearly one hour. The assembly was organised to celebrate the achievements of Government High School, Thalachira in the Kottarakkara Sub-district Kalolsavam 2025–26.
- HS Arabic – First Overall
- HS Sanskrit – Second Overall
- UP Arabic – Second Overall
- LP Arabic – Third Overall
As per the timetable, I was assigned the first period in Class 9B, but it was later shifted to the second hour due to the extended assembly. Later in the day, I actively participated in the midday meal serving and student dispersal duties along with my peers.
Day 2 – Tuesday (18/11/2025)
Today was a routine working day. Although I had no scheduled periods according to the timetable, I was allotted a substitution period, which provided an opportunity to interact with students. In the afternoon, I responsibly carried out the midday meal serving and dispersal duties.
Day 3 – Wednesday (19/11/2025)
It was a busy and productive day with a scheduled class in Class 8A. The classroom interaction was engaging and effective. I also participated in the midday meal serving and dispersal duties in the afternoon, gaining experience in managing co-curricular responsibilities.
Day 4 – Thursday (20/11/2025)
Today was a significant day in my teaching practice, as my class was observed by Praveena Teacher. I taught the topic “Different Types of Muscles.” The observation session was very helpful, and the teacher provided valuable feedback to improve my teaching skills.
On the same day, David’s class was also observed. After the observation, I continued with my regular school duties.
Day 5 – Friday (21/11/2025)
On the final day of the week, I had scheduled periods in Class 9, along with a few substitution periods. I also performed the midday meal serving and dispersal duties in the afternoon. However, I was not well due to fever, which affected my physical comfort, though I tried my best to complete my responsibilities.
Week 3 of teaching practice was a balanced mix of classroom teaching, observation, and school duties. The observation and feedback sessions contributed greatly to my professional growth, while participating in midday meal duties helped me understand the wider responsibilities of a teacher in school life.
