Celebrating Excellence: College Magazine Release and B.Ed. Graduation Honors

Congratulations Seniors 

On November 26, 2024, from 2:00 PM onwards, Advaya College Union organized a special event to celebrate the release of the college magazine named Nilanilpu and honor the super seniors who successfully completed the B.Ed. program and all got above 80% marks. Among the graduates, two students were particularly celebrated for their exceptional achievements: Neenu, who earned the first rank in Mathematics, and Arsha, who secured the second rank in Malayalam.The ceremony was graced by the esteemed chief guests, Sabu Mathew K.M., IPS, and S.R. Ramesh, Municipal Chairman. The event also highlighted the hard work and dedication of the magazine editor, Akshay  whose efforts contributed to the success of the publication.


 The occasion was a memorable moment for both the students and faculty, recognizing academic excellence and the achievements of the graduating seniors.

Ending Violence, Promoting Equality: ADHYAVI

The Women Cell of our college presented "ADHYAVI" on November 25, 2024, in observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The event, held at 10:00 AM, featured a powerful documentary show that raised awareness about the importance of ending violence against women. Participants also took part in a collage-making activity, creatively expressing their support for the cause. 


The program was a meaningful way to unite the community in the fight against gender-based violence and promote respect and equality for women.

Rolling into Cinema: Film Club Inauguration and Film Festival

On 22nd November 2024, the Film Club was inaugurated by our Technology Sir, Arun Sir, and a Film Festival was held to mark the occasion. The event featured two engaging films: Adi Kapyaare Kootta Mani and Chathikkatha Chandhu. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the event, but I heard that it was a great success.



I look forward to participating in upcoming events and exploring more cinematic experiences.

Blogging for Beginners: A Successful Workshop at Our College

On November 20, a dynamic blog workshop specifically designed for teaching trainee's was conducted by Sithusha Teacher, offering valuable insights into how educators can leverage blogging to enhance their teaching methods and connect with students. The session covered a range of topics, including creating engaging educational content, using blogs as a tool for reflection, and sharing teaching resources with a wider audience. She shared practical tips on how we can build and maintain a blog, optimize it for search engines, and use it to create an interactive learning environment. The workshop was a great success, leaving participants inspired and equipped to start their own educational blogs and expand their influence beyond the classroom.


The session was a great opportunity for beginners and experienced bloggers alike to gain valuable insights and take their blogging journey to the next level.

Creating with Purpose: A Day of Socially Useful Productive Work

On November 19th, 2024, our class participated in a workshop on the Preparation of Socially Useful Productive Work, conducted by Mohanlal Sir. 

The class was divided into four groups, with each group assigned to prepare a different product: paper bags, paper files, soap, and lotion. My group was tasked with preparing paper files, and we worked together to create high-quality, handmade files under the guidance of Mohanlal Sir. 

Throughout the workshop, all of us had the opportunity to listen to and learn from Mohanlal Sir’s informative session, where he shared valuable insights on the importance of such products in society and how they contribute to sustainability. 

It was an enriching experience that allowed us to explore practical skills and creativity.

Miss You, Hari Sir: Best of Luck on Your PhD Path

It is with mixed emotions that we gave a small farewell to our beloved Hari sir, who has been an inspiring Philosophy teacher at our college. As he embarks on a new journey to pursue his PhD, we want to extend our heartfelt best wishes for his future endeavors. To express our gratitude and affection, we presented him with a small token of love. 


Sir, you will be deeply missed, and your presence in our academic lives will always be cherished.

Witnessing the Power of Care: A Visit to Ashraya

On 18th November 2024, we had the privilege of visiting Ashraya, a remarkable refuge in Kerala that provides food, shelter, medical aid, and rehabilitation to the needy, including orphans, the homeless, and the elderly. I spent the day at Sanketham in Kalayapuram, Kottarakara, where hundreds of residents are cared for by a dedicated team led by Kalayapuram Jose Sir. 


During our visit, we conducted programs with songs and dance, bringing joy to the residents. 

From morning to evening, we had the chance to connect with the residents, hear their stories, and witness the immense compassion and care that Ashraya offers to those in need. 


We also had the privilege of meeting Jose sir and his wife, whose unwavering dedication and kindness were truly inspiring. They shared their journey with Ashraya and gave us a glimpse into the profound impact of their work. Their passion for serving others and their commitment to the well-being of the residents left a lasting impression on me, making the day even more meaningful.

Empowering Leadership: A Transformative Capacity Building Workshop

On 16th November 2024, Our college (Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College,Kottarakkara) hosted a Capacity Building Program focused on leadership development, running from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM in the college's General Hall. 


The workshop will feature Mr. R. Kiran Bodhi, a young orator and research scholar at the University of Kerala, who will present a PowerPoint on key leadership principles, covering communication, decision-making, and team management. After the presentation, participants will be divided into four groups for engaging games and drama activities designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, offering a practical, interactive approach to leadership building. The workshop was organised by Hari sir.



Thank you, Hari Sir, for organizing this wonderful workshop and providing us with such a valuable opportunity to enhance our leadership skills. A special thank you to Kiran Sir for your insightful presentation and engaging activities, which not only deepened our understanding of leadership but also encouraged collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking in a fun and interactive way.  Additionally, the audience enjoyed thrilling games like a treasure hunt and a puzzle game, adding an element of fun and teamwork to the celebration.

"Natural Science Subject Association: Celebrating Nature, Unity, and Creativity!"

Subject Association Event: A Day to Remember

On the 11th of November 2024, the Natural Science Subject Association hosted a memorable event in the General Hall, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The gathering commenced with a formal meeting, setting the stage for the exciting activities that followed.



The highlight of the event was the unveiling of our association's logo, Biophilia, which was revealed by none other than our esteemed Principal, Riju Sir. The logo, symbolizing the unity of nature and knowledge, was met with great enthusiasm by all present.


As part of our subject’s core theme, we presented a special gift to the college — a plant of Ocimum sanctum (commonly known as Tulsi) — symbolizing our commitment to environmental sustainability. The plant was handed over to Principal Riju Sir, adding a touch of greenery and vitality to the college campus.


Following the official meeting, the atmosphere lightened up with a festive spirit as sweets were distributed among the attendees. The program continued with a vibrant series of performances, including energetic group dances, melodious songs, and fun-filled games, all showcasing the diverse talents of our fellow students.

I had the honor of being a part of the anchoring team, guiding the audience through the event with a warm and engaging tone. Additionally, I participated in a group dance, adding to the lively energy that filled the hall.




This event was a wonderful showcase of both academic and extracurricular spirit, and it truly reflected the essence of Biophilia — the love for life and nature, fostering a sense of community within our college.


We look forward to many more such events that bring us together, celebrate creativity, and encourage sustainability!

On November 9th, 2024, our college hosted a memorable event that included the Physical Education theory exam, sports competitions such as cricket, football, and a yoga exam, all organized by our dedicated Physical Education Sir, Lal Sir. 

The day was filled with excitement as students showcased their skills and knowledge in these activities. Our girls' cricket team emerged victorious, securing the first prize. The prize distribution ceremony, held by our Principal, Riju Sir, added a special touch to the event.


 It was a day of achievement, sportsmanship, and celebration for everyone involved.

Concluding Our Induction: A Day to Reflect and Learn

The reflection of our school induction at the college was held as a one-day event, where our class was divided into two groups. Each group had visited about 20 different schools for their induction experience. During the reflection session, each student shared their unique experiences, offering insights into the various aspects of school life, teaching practices, and interactions with students and faculty. It was a valuable opportunity to learn from each other and understand the diverse environments we had encountered. 


The session marked the final phase of our school induction, allowing us to reflect on our journey, the challenges faced, and the lessons learned, ultimately concluding this enriching experience.

Honoring Tradition and Leadership: Kerala Piravi and College Union Oath taking Ceremony

On 1st November 2024, the day began with a solemn Oath-Taking Ceremony for the newly elected College Union members from 10:00 am to 10:20 am, marking the start of their leadership journey. 


This was followed by the vibrant Kerala Piravi Celebration, running from 10:20 am to 1:15 pm, which featured engaging events such as the Malayi Manka competition and a quiz competition, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. 


The festivities offered students an opportunity to showcase their talents and knowledge while fostering a sense of pride and unity in the spirit of Kerala's formation.
